Description
Work with our global team of Compensation Consultants to provide analysis, insights and high-quality, solutions-orientated advice to the Ameriprise business including but not limited to:
- Partnering with other compensation team members to provide analytical and consultative support to multiple business lines to identify and develop compensation initiatives or strategies.
- Providing direct consultative support to HR Business Partners on low to medium complexity requests.
- Performing activities related to compensation programs including base salary, incentive plans, year-end processes, offer analyses, market pricing database, etc.
- Leading one or more key compensation processes, such as managing annual variable compensation spreadsheets.
- Identifying, developing, and producing queries and reports from Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) based on inquiries and business needs related to compensation. Ensuring reporting provides applicable data to help solve business problems.
- Identifying opportunities and suggest solutions for development or modification of various compensation programs (broad-based incentives, year-end administration, executive compensation, long-term incentive award, etc.) through data analysis.
- Working closely with HR Business Partners to support annual and ad-hoc compensation review processes and analysis.
- Acting as a point of contact for HR Business Partners regarding benchmarking and market data.
- Conducting proactive competitive analysis and recommending updates as necessary in line with market trends and findings.
- Delivering ad-hoc compensation analyses to Compensation team colleagues and HR Business Partners as required.
- Providing occasional support for similar tasks in other areas of the Compensation team from time to time as the need arises.
Required Qualitification
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and manipulate data to identify trends or patterns.
- Ability to identify issues and develop potential solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required to discuss issues and articulate program/policy interpretation to primarily HR staff.
- Ability to build strong working relationships through delivery of credible work product.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
