Job Description
Consult with advisors, assess their High Net Worth (HNW) client/prospect case, develop financial planning proposals, case consultation, and plan deliverables in the areas of tax, retirement, charitable giving, business owner planning, and estate planning. Work with cross-organizational colleagues to connect resources to ensure a high quality advisor and client experience. Present the HNW planning strategy to advisors and their clients.Key Responsibilities
- Consult with advisors, assessing their High Net Worth client/prospect case, developing financial planning proposals, case consultation, and planning deliverables in the areas of tax, retirement, charitable giving, business owner planning, and estate planning. Communicate complex financial planning strategies to target market clients and their advisors.
- Ensure accurate and timely case documentation. Demonstrate strong knowledge of complex financial planning concepts including legacy/estate, retirement, business and tax planning strategies.
- Partner cross-organizationally with WMS, Ameriprise Bank, and RVS to develop comprehensive solutions appropriate for HNW client case.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years financial services experience. Experience working with the HNW market segment preferred.
- Experience with advisors and HNW clients assessing their needs, identifying suitable strategies and making actionable recommendations.
- Strong knowledge of complex financial planning strategies, including estate, tax, business, retirement, equity compensation. Solid understanding of financial planning process.
- Ability to quickly analyze complex situations and synthesize into easy to understand advice.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others across the organization.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple client cases and priorities.
- Experience working with field leaders, advisors and clients
- Series 7.
- State IAR registration (S63, S65 or S66).

- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word Skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $114,500 – $157,400 per year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
